What is the process like?

  1. Week one

    Register your FWCMS account

    In person: State Immigration Office

    Prepare the required documents, then register your FWCMS account at the State Immigration Office (Bahagian Pekerja Asing).

  2. About 1 month

    Section 60K approval

    In person: Interview at State Immigration Office

    Post the job ad on MYFutureJobs. After 7 days, write the Hiring Outcome Report. Then apply to JTKSM for FWE approval on FWCMS. Your company director is interviewed at the State Immigration Office.

  3. About 1 month

    Apply for eQuota

    Online: FWCMS

    Upload your company documents and apply for your hiring quota on FWCMS.

  4. 1 to 2 weeks

    Calling Visa Payment

    Online: Imigresen

    Pay the levy, security bond and SPIKPA insurance to get a Visa With Reference for your worker.

  5. 2 to 3 weeks

    Attestation and recruitment

    In person: Embassy, overseas agency office (if needed)

    Attest your demand letter at the embassy, then pay the agency abroad to select workers and run their pre-departure medicals and registrations.

  6. Within 24 hours

    Arrival and clearance

    In person: Malaysia Airport

    Workers enter on the Calling Visa. Passports are checked against the FWCMS record and biometrics taken on the spot.

  7. Within 72 hours

    FOMEMA medical

    In person: FOMEMA panel clinic

    Medical checkup within 72 hours of arrival. Workers must pass it to get their permit.

  8. Akta 446 housing certificate

    In person: Worker's accommodation

    Get the accommodation up to Akta 446 standard before the Immigration inspection. Required for five or more workers.

  9. PLKS, SOCSO and EPF

    In person: State Immigration Office

    The permit sticker goes into the passport. Each worker is then registered with SOCSO and EPF.
